The Problem

Every project generated quote packs from multiple suppliers. Buyers opened each PDF, copied line items into Excel, checked delivery charges, and chased missing substitutions by email. The work was repetitive, but errors changed margins and slowed approvals.

What We Built

We built a quote intake workflow connected to the shared purchasing inbox. Incoming PDFs are extracted into structured rows, normalised by unit and VAT treatment, checked for missing delivery terms, and pushed into a comparison sheet with a buyer-ready summary.

The Outcome

Buyers now review clean comparisons instead of building them from scratch. Steelbridge shortened approval cycles, reduced copy-paste errors, and gave managers a consistent view of supplier trade-offs.

The Problem

Northline's buyers handled steel, components, finishing, and transport quotes from dozens of suppliers. Each supplier used a different PDF layout. Product names, units, minimum order quantities, and lead times had to be cleaned manually before operations could price jobs.

What We Built

We deployed a document intelligence layer that reads quote emails, extracts supplier and line-item data, standardises units, and updates Northline's job tracker. Ambiguous rows are held for human review with the exact PDF evidence shown beside the extracted value.

The Outcome

Operations now starts from clean supplier data instead of waiting for manual re-keying. Quote turnaround improved, buyer admin dropped, and edge cases are easier to review because the system only escalates what needs attention.
